Cincinnebus O'Harley (Week1 Recap)

Above, are my favorite photographs from week 1 of wandering the neighborhoods of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Casey Rocket
I happened to get out of work an hour early Friday night. When I got home, my roommate Sean looked like he was about to head out.
"Wait, did you see Casey Rocket last night or is that tonight?"
"It's actually tonight. Tyler is picking me up in 10 minutes. I have an extra ticket if you want to go."
Sean follows Kill Tony, a comedy podcast where pros and amateurs get a shot at performing a one-minute set. Amateurs aren't guaranteed time on stage, they just hope their name gets pulled from a bucket. That's how Casey Rocket broke into comedy.
Rocket's humor is pure absurdity. Just to touch the surface - he paces frantically, moves props around, throws in unrelated references, and shuffles across the stage like a crab. It's the complete opposite of a traditional stand-up set.
Nonetheless, I was in tears the entire time. That last-minute invite from Sean reminded me there's a real appetite for the absurd, the far-out, in this world.

Neighborhoods Photographed: Northside, East End, Roselawn, Sayler Park, O'Bryonville, Lower Price Hill, and California
Do's: Do ask for a complementary cup of coffee when taking pictures of coffee shops.
Don't: Don't take pictures of people without their permission.
Favorite Coffee Shop: Viva Coffee Roasters in O'Bryonville.
Favorite Neighborhood: Lower Price Hill. It feels like a level in a video game sitting beneath the Incline District.
